The Jackson Group realizes the vast importance of recognizing excellence and improvement in the workplace.  That is why we are implementing our brand new client awards program, The Jackson Group Laureate Awards. We want to showcase our clients who have exhibited both workplace excellence and workplace enhancement over time.

The Jackson Group Laureate Workplace Excellence Award

This award is given to each healthcare organization that has demonstrated excellence in the workplace using the criteria designed by The Jackson Group and exemplified in the client’s Work Climate Survey results.

Criteria:
*  The award is based on a recent survey period for WCS clients beginning after January 1, 2006.
*  The client must have a response rate of 68%, which indicates that the data collected is statistically representative of the entire population surveyed.
*  Client must show evidence of workplace excellence by meeting or exceeding the established criteria related to their workplace and demonstrating excellence in such things as communication, employee involvement, commitment and perception of departmental leadership.
*  An organization must demonstrate at least 50% of the award winning threshold to be considered.

The Jackson Group Laureate Workplace Enhancement Award

This award is given to each healthcare organization that has sustained improvement using the same criteria as the Laureate Workplace Excellence Award. The award is based on two survey periods for WCS clients (must not exceed eighteen months between data points) and with CEP (Continuous Employee Perceptions) two years using the annual CEP wrap up data for the two consecutive years.

Criteria
*  The client must have a response rate of 68%, which indicates that the data collected is statistically representative of the entire population surveyed.
*  Client must show evidence of this improvement by providing such things as organizational action plans, strategic plans, and other organizational initiatives that support culture change in the organization.
*  A detailed description of what improvements were put into place to improve the work climate.
*  How these improvements have impacted the TJG employee scores based on the same criteria used in the overall TJG award program and using the criteria outlined in the next item which are specific to the improvement award.
*  An organization must demonstrate at least 30% of the award winning threshold (rather than 50%) and show greater than 12% improvement in scores between the two years.

Presentation of Awards

This award will be presented at The Jackson Group Annual Client Conference or be presented onsite of the organization. All award recipients will also be recognized on The Jackson Group website and in the TJG newsletter.  Additionally, The Jackson Group will publicize the event through various outlets and provide an engraved award vase and certificate.
