Queen's Medical Center Touts ED Survey Kiosk - Honolulu, Hawaii

Situation
Queen's Medical Center's Emergency Department needed to increase response to its Emergency Department survey and decrease the amount of time it took to get results back. They were looking for an innovative way to accomplish these goals.

Action
The Jackson Group in Hickory, North Carolina was contacted for some possible solutions. It was recommended that the device that would best meet the Emergency Department's needs was a touch-screen kiosk. This kiosk would allow the Emergency Department to gather responses from patients before they leave the facility. The device would also be connected to a land base phone line that would be used to download data and transmit changes to the survey. The land based phone line would help cut down the amount of time in which the facility could receive their report.
