The self-entry system includes Point-of-View™ devices, touch screen computers and survey tablets. Self-entry surveying offers many advantages over the more traditional pencil and paper method. One of the greatest advantages is the ability to ask branching questions. These questions give your organization the opportunity to ask a question and then depending on the answer given, the screen will automatically advance to another question on that particular subject to “drill down” and receive more specific feedback.
An advantage of self-entry surveying, when using the touch screen computer and survey tablet, is having audio and video capabilities. Should your survey population include non-readers, the audio feature can be used to have the survey read aloud. The video feature makes possible the use of a pre-recorded message to be played before, during or after the survey.
